About Us
Titan Furniture Ltd is a very new company, only becoming Incorporated in 2007. We are proud of that fact because we have been formed to address specific issues in the supply of Educational Furniture and are not restrained by old fashioned ideas and practices which could deny our children the benefit of new technology and standards.
Our first task was to design and engineer a one piece Polypropylene Classroom chair that complied with a new standard – EN 1729 Parts 1 and 2.
This initially required a full understanding of this new standard – which is split into 2 parts.
Part 2 refers to the strength and stability of the product and replaces the old standard BS 5873.
However, it is Part 1 which presented the most significant challenge, because this introduced new support contact points, sizes, rake angles and radii for the chairs, all of which combine to ensure perfect posture for our children.
After many months of design and development we finally reached the stage where we had a product that fully complied with the new EN 1729 Parts 1 & 2 standard.
The next step was to produce the 3 sets of tooling necessary to manufacture in volume the full range of chairs. Such precision manufacturing took 3 months of dedicated machine time and cost many tens of thousands of pounds.
In June 2007 the first chairs left the factory and large numbers of them have now found homes in our schools and provide our children with the comfort and posture needed to ensure attention in class and good health in the future.
The full range of Titan chairs are now in stock for immediate delivery.

It is our intention to develop additional quality products for our Classrooms that are worthy of wearing the Titan logo.
